Coastal Bushcraft Treks

Manorbier YHA car park, South Pembrokeshire Coast for organised groups/schools/clubs/etc. £160 flat rate.

MANORBIER YHA/SKRINKLE HAVEN CAR PARK  ► CHURCH DOORS ► MANORBIER BAY ►SWANLAKE BAY AND BACK VIA INLAND ROUTE. 10am or 1pm START. APPROXIMATELY  3 – 4hrs DEPENDING ON ROUTE AND TIDE TIMES.

The bushcraft treks will take us through a variety of habitats where we can forage, observe the flora and fauna and find tinders for fire making. This is not a muscle tearing bolt over the landscape because we will be stopping frequently, searching and hopefully, discovering. Beach foraging is dependent on the tides (particularly at Church Doors). We will stop for lunch or snacks at either Manorbier Beach or Swanlake Bay and try some fire making techniques with our gathered tinders.

This is a stunning stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coastline, and being a local, I am very familiar with the landscape. Toilets are located at Manorbier Bay car park, which can be used on the outward and return journey. As we pass through part of Manorbier village on our return, you may request a visit to the shop/post office. Variations in routes and other concerns regarding physical limitations can be discussed prior to booking.

For schools/groups staying at the YHA, there is the option of a ‘Bushcraft Workshop’ session in the campsite area prior to the trek. This would have an added cost of £40. (£200 in total).

BOOKINGS ARE TAKEN ON DEMAND AND PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE BOOKED DATE (by bank transfer)  OR ON THE DAY (by cash).
